General Mode

General mode may be used to reduce the level of dissonance in your piece. If General Mode is selected, the harmony algorithm alters the notes of your piece to those of the current scale (C Major by default).

The lengths of the notes and the internal melodic shape of the Melody Window are maintained, although the pitches themselves may be shifted up or down by a half step. The default tonal center, C Major, may then be altered by using the Harmony Line.
